“V”Family Session in Wausau | Wisconsin Photographer

This family drove all the way from Indiana to Wisconsin to have a session with me! To say I was flattered and excited was an understatement!

Although we got a bit of a dreary Wisconsin day for our session we certainly didn’t get it get us down or stop us from capturing amazing photos of their love and joy together!

Believe it or not their little guy wanted nothing to do with me at first. He didn’t even want to look at me for the first 20 minutes of the session. I didn’t sweat it and mom and dad didn’t either. I told them, no worries, we’ll just play and throw rocks for a bit and play some of my games and we’ll just let him warm up a bit. After that we were golden!

Capturing honest emotions is so important to me. That’s why I don’t rush kids at sessions. I don’t want them (or their parents) to be anxious about what we are doing. It will show in the photos. Sometimes it take a little longer, but giving kids the time they need to relax and always making my sessions more about game playing than posing for photos means you’ll get beautiful photos of your kids and family that show the real them!
