Family is everything, and there's no better way to celebrate the bonds of love, laughter, and togetherness than through a fun and heartwarming extended family photo session. In the beautiful park of Oak Island in Wausau, Wisconsin, I had the privilege of witnessing and photographing an incredible gathering of three generations of a family coming together to create timeless memories.

I always love extended family photo sessions. Seeing everyone come together. Knowing we are documenting and capturing memories that are so meaningful. Seeing how one couple blossomed into a generations of love and joy. It’s truly something special.

Anytime I have an extended family session, I say it’s like having 4-5 family sessions at once. I always get a big group together, then I start moving into each of the individual families and get their family together. And of course you know just like in my family sessions, I get just the parents and just the kids. Then I move into those beautiful dynamics of grandparents and grandkids, cousins, the adult siblings. I also make sure to capture a mix of traditional, everyone look at the camera, style AND my signature unposed style that is all about connection, joy, and love.
