Motherhood is near and dear to my heart. Motherhood sessions came to be when I was looking through my own family photos with my boys and my youngest son said to me “Mom, where were you?” My heart dropped, even as a photographer and my boys knowing I always have a camera in my hand, I wasn’t in any of the our photos. I was there, but there were no tangible memories to share that. I wanted to offer a session that said to our kids “We were here. We always did the best we could. We loved you hard. We love you always.” These sessions are about celebrating mothers and embracing that special connection.

I traveled to the southern part of the state for this in-home session. I instantly felt welcomed and at ease with this mama, like I had known her for years. I brought a beautiful green dress from my client closet for her to wear. We captured snuggles and smiles, tandem nursing, and some stripped down raw motherhood moments. It was beautiful from start to finish!
